The Regional Research Centre Raiya is located about 8 KM towards South from District Jhajjar on Jhajjar – Kosali Road. It is well connected from Delhi and the National High Way 71. The foundation stone of this Research Centre was laid by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana on January 19, 2018.

Presently RRC have approximately 99 acres of area under possession. The Centre has three protected structures viz. High-Tech Green House (1728m2) , Shade net house & Retractable Poly House (1008 m2) to raise the quality nursery and demonstration of protected cultivation of horticultural crops. It is going to be developed as a semiarid horticulture centre.

Salient Features

• Demonstration on production technology of vegetables i.e. Okra, Bottle gourd, Fenugreek, onion, pea, potato, Radish, Carrot, Cole crops, leafy vegetables, and tomato etc. have been carried out. Beside this crop cafeteria area of season vegetables has also been demonstrated to the farmers.
• RRC Raiya have Pomegranate orchard over an area of approx. 2.5 acre in which 46 genotype and two national varieties procured from IIHR Bangalore has been planted for screening and is also having the Guava orchard over an area of 2.0 acres.
• The centre is also imparting the training to the farmers for promotion of horticultural crops.
