The College of Horticulture, Maharana Pratap Horticultural University was established on 1st December 2020 in Extension Education Institute, Nilokheri, Karnal, Haryana and currently operative at Village Anjanthali, Karnal with teaching as well as research facilities.

The College of Horticulture, MHU is a premier institution in the state of Haryana. It aims to strengthen teaching and research in all the fields of horticulture. Fruits and vegetables are rich source of nutrition which can provide much needed crop diversification and enhanced employment through processing and value addition. Floriculture, represents environmental and aesthetic aspects besides being of economic importance.

The college follows the course credit system of education under semester system. The curriculum is divided into a number of courses offered by different departments, and the academic year is divided into two semesters each of 20 weeks with short duration summer and winter breaks. The evaluation under semester system is external to the extent of 50% at undergraduate level. Recommendations of the IV Deans’ Committee of the ICAR have been implemented in the University.
